My latest travel story is up at GoNomad -- taking a peek into the culinary world of Lyon, France. I took the trip in April, as both some of my faithful readers might remember, and it was a four-day chow-fest. I suppose 'culinary journey' or 'experience in the heights of modern cuisine' would be a more fitting way for a travel writer and burgeoning foodie-scribe to put it, but chow-fest will do.
Lyon is known for its Beaujolais wine, but it's also famous for candies and desserts, and an interesting entree called quenelles -- a mixture of dough and meat (seafood, chicken, truffles, you name it) served often with a creamy sauce.
I'm going to search for a recipe and post it here soon.
