Merry Miscellany in Massachusetts
Up the 'pike, down the 'pike. 495 to 93. Is it 93 North, or South? Is 95 off of Route 3? Which exit off the rotary? Crap, this route is entirely different. Traffic merging in the tunnel. From the right. Does the Zakim bridge still lead to the turn-off I need? Crap, I'm in the wrong lane. Shoot, it's an exit-only. Gotta get over, over, over... Toll is .50 cents now? I only have one quarter -- wait, there's one by my shoe. This doesn't look familiar.

Oh, my. You completely captured driving in the Commonwealth. As a CA
native, living in MA for six years was an exercise in creative map reading.
And getting directions from the locals? ha! "Turn left at that old hardware
store..." I remember driving on 95S and it was simultaneously labeled 1N. I
think I have a picture of that somewhere. It's gotta be the nexus of the
universe!
