Take another little piece of my heart
I've managed to create a little niche for myself as a writer, compiling gift guides. This wasn't a goal of mine, it just sort of happened - I wrote a techie guide once, people liked it, and I developed some sort of obscure cache as the 'gift round-up writer.'
My latest such piece just dropped this week; a guide of Valentine's Day offerings that I wish someone would buy me will please any well-loved giftee. It includes gifts at all pricepoints, from nostalgia candy (Squirrel Nut Zippers instead of chocolate in a heart-shaped box -- ew, how very Russell Stover) to a trip to Rome to visit St. Valentine's hometown.
If you're stressing this overblown, commercialized holiday right now, you can take a gander at the Lovefest here. (Note: Some of the entries reference shops that are local to the readership area of this magazine, but the ideas are largely universal.)
Here are some past WriterJax gift guides, too:
Gifts for the health-conscious
I've been trying to click on your links and none of them work. I so wanted
to check out the Lovefest. Maybe it's just on my end I can't open the
links. But I thought you should know.
thanks, I noticed that there was an issue around the same time you probably
did ... the lovefest link should work, the others still need to be fixed.
Ah, Safari!
