Since I saved all the wed-blogging until now, I have a slew to say. So, I thought I'd get y'all in the mood with some preliminary photos, then revisit some of my favorite topics (DIY, fashion and food, the upcoming freelance article I just sold about my own wedding - woo) later.
Here's the 30-second scroll version of the month of June for me:
JaxSis threw me a bridal shower. She did a great job and was particularly proud of the cupcake-globe cake she bought. It is super-cute.

That's Teen with the fauxquet - one of my favorite aspects of any wedding shower.

Then, we had a bachelorette party! This is Lainey opening the champagne:

We ate dinner in an Elven Forest...

...I lost money, though happily...
...Then it was back to reality, where the response cards were rolling in. A lot of people wrote cute things on their cards, which I thought was fun.

This was the inspiration for my wedding hair, and pretty much the only time a Rush album will ever be useful to me.

The wedding weekend finally arrived! I stayed at a cute bed and breakfast the night before:

...and we had a big cookout/party at my parents' house on Cape Cod. We played Jarts, which apparently a lot of people have never played? That's GrammarGirl's husband Jason tossing. Teeny is making the 'what the hell' face in this photo:

Reality started to set in for ArcherVision and JaxBro:

This photo of JaxBro and I was taken, thus becoming the only one of the two of us I have from the whole weekend:

...my Dad was very concerned with the Japanese lanterns.

Then, the moment finally arrived. Thank God, I was SO DONE with the planning at that point. We hired a bagpiper as a nod to my Celtic heritage, and he was fantastic.
Here we are getting hitched by my cousin, Rev. Sharon Dunbar-Link. We are standing in front of a sculpture called The Daughters of Eve. We're in a sculpture garden at an art museum, by the way (details, details). Notice my hair is less Rushlike. It was warm that day and the finger curls weren't holding, so we went with plan B.

Our friend Max took this photo as we walked into the reception:

...my girls looked so awesome. That's Mikie, Nikki, Sarah, and Teen:

We gave away kazoos as favors. Here we are kazooing Sweet Caroline:
it was a fun night. More to come.
What a fun account of your BIG day ! I really enjoyed the pix time-line.
Good luck to you !
Ok, bullet point comment:
